MPH Poster Exhibition Announcement

  • Target Audience: Students applying for graduation this semester (Please download the registration form. Registration deadline: May 15, 2026)

 Grading and Evaluation Guidelines

1. Scoring & Weighting Mechanism

To ensure objectivity, consistency, and fairness in evaluation, the following grading criteria have been established for the committee's reference. The poster exhibition will be conducted as a competition.

  • Faculty Review: All faculty members within the college who advise MPH students are invited to serve as judges (Faculty will recuse themselves from grading their own students' posters).

  • Peer Review: Graduate students will also participate in peer evaluation (Students will recuse themselves from grading their own posters).

  • Weighting: The final score is weighted as 60% Faculty Evaluation (adjusted via Z-score normalization) and 40% Peer Evaluation (adjusted via Z-score normalization).

2. Grading Tiers

The grading tiers are classified into three categories. Judges may assign scores to the posters they recommend (no scoring is required for posters that are not recommended):

  • A+ (Highly Recommended): 90–100 points

  • A (Recommended): 85–89 points

  • B (Honorable Mention): 80–84 points

3. Suggested Evaluation Criteria

Judges are encouraged to refer to the following criteria when evaluating the posters:

  • Abstract

    • (1) Is the significance of the title clear and precise?

    • (2) Does the abstract effectively summarize the key highlights of the entire project?

  • Introduction & Literature Review

    • (1) Are the research motivation and its significance clearly stated?

    • (2) Is the problem statement accurate? Is the literature cited comprehensive and relevant?

    • (3) Are the research objectives, hypotheses, and theoretical framework appropriate?

    • (4) Does the project demonstrate academic and practical importance?

  • Methodology

    • (1) Is the research design appropriate?

    • (2) Are the study population and sampling methods appropriate?

    • (3) Are the research tools/instruments appropriate?

    • (4) Is the data collection process rigorous and appropriate?

  • Results

    • (1) Do the results successfully fulfill the research objectives?

    • (2) Are the statistical methods applied correctly?

    • (3) Are the figures and tables clearly designed, properly labeled, and accurate?

  • Discussion & Conclusion (including Limitations & Recommendations)

    • (1) Is the discussion based on the actual results and meaningfully compared with relevant literature?

    • (2) Are the conclusions properly drawn from the presented data?

    • (3) Are the study limitations and future recommendations appropriate?

Awards and Incentives

A specific number of Distinguished and Outstanding Posters will be selected based on the proportion of total registrants:

  • Distinguished Poster Award (傑出海報獎): NT$5,000 cash prize and a certificate of merit per winner.

  • Outstanding Poster Award (優秀海報獎): NT$3,000 cash prize and a certificate of merit per winner.
